Start — Lake Head, Wasdale
Park at the National Trust Lake Head car park by Wasdale campsite at the head of Wastwater (pay and display; free for NT members). The path follows Lingmell Gill upstream past Herdwick pastures, crossing the beck and climbing the stone-pitched path up Brown Tongue.
